I had the best time staying at La Concha! From the moment I was dropped off at the hotel, I was greeted with smiles by every employee. Not a single staff member was ever unhelpful throughout my visit. In fact, quite the contrary. I had members offer their help even when I hadn't asked. 

From the concierge to the staff on the beach digging holes for umbrellas and fetching food and drinks from the bar, I honestly felt like so carefree every single minute I stayed here. It is truly a resort in every sense of the word. Towels and lemon water are always on hand by the pools and beach, the sound of crashing waves along with an oceanfront view is like heaven. 

I would wake up every morning and fall asleep every night to the sounds of the ocean (even through the glass I could hear it), and every once in a while I would have to make a conscious decision as to which pool I felt like swimming in (there are 2 infinity pools--one just for adults--as well as another pool with an upper and lower section with a waterfall in between). First world problems. I know. 

Definitely two thumbs up. I really would love to stay here again on a future visit to Puerto Rico! The neighborhood is really great too, with lots of great restaurants and very conveniently located drugstores and cafes.

We spent a lot of time choosing a destination and subsequently a hotel for a short vacation in February. We ultimately decided on the Renaissance San Juan given the warm temperatures in PR (~85 and perfectly sunny), the relatively short flight from NYC and the great reviews.

La Concha is a modern hotel with great service and amenities and we really cannot wait to go back. The crowd generally skewed on the older side and there didn't seem to be much night life in the area but that all contributed to a more low-key, relaxing environment. We enjoyed having the option of the beach or the pool and found that neither were overcrowded or uncomfortable. To reiterate what others have said, I would 100% recommend upgrading to get the ocean front room as the view was truly breathtaking.

The location of the hotel was ideal and the staff was very friendly and accommodating at all times. The only negative thing about our experience was that the wifi was slow in our room (but it was free).

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great, low-key vacation spot.

Everyone was nice and happy to help in any way. Located close to what you want to see in San Juan including the forts and Old San Juan.
