We usually like to eat, drink, party and forget or ignore our calorie intake and workout routine while on vacation. If you’re a fitness junkie, you shouldn’t worry when staying at La Concha, as there are in-house and nearby options so you don’t have to interrupt your fitness schedules.
We’ve gathered a few fitness options for you to try when on vacation or during your business trip:
Take time out of your regular routine to provide yourself with some soothing self-care in order to prevent burnout, promote a refreshed approach to work and even heighten your senses in other aspects of life. Do the words wine & yoga seem like a perfect pairing to you? We also offer Wine Yoga Classes weekly and upon request.
Kickboxing & Boxing
There are walking distance options in Condado. Phyt NYC offers boxing classes and mixed martial arts. Also, a 5-minute car ride away you can find Fit Boxing, a studio specialized in physical training in which they combine boxing, kickboxing and cross training techniques. At Fit Boxing, their first class is free, and they also accept drop-ins.
We offer morning Spin into Yoga classes, a combination class format that trains your heart and strengthens your lower body with a cycling ride interval training, and then stretches your hard-worked muscles with yoga asanas. Or, if you prefer an afternoon workout session, Condado Cycling offers afternoon classes and it’s walking distance from La Concha.
If you’re up for a little fun water workout, then paddle boarding is for you! Walking to the Condado Lagoon you can find a few companies that offer training and rental of boards. Since the water is generally flat and there isn’t much wind, it’s the perfect place for beginners. Sightings of “big” animals like manatees, turtles or stringrays are a plus!
When staying at La Concha, you will have complimentary bike rentals. You can ride all the way to Old San Juan and can even park or drop off the bikes on our sister property, while you explore the town. Be sure to ask our entrance attendant on where to go, what to see, and how to make the best of your breezy ride through San Juan and Condado.
