From stunning ocean views to impeccable ambience, readers voted for the best in Puerto Rico in the annual "World’s Best Awards" survey for 2025. There’s so much to love about the Isle of Enchantment. Beautiful beaches, vibrant culture, and stunning nature reserves are just a few of the many reasons Puerto Rico saw a record-breaking 8-percent increase in visitors from the year prior. With the island’s hospitality sector growth up 5 percent, there’s certainly no shortage of incredible resorts to choose from.
Every year for our World's Best Awards survey, T+L asks readers to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe—to share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. Nearly 180,000 T+L readers completed the 2025 survey. A total of more than 657,000 votes were cast across over 8,700 properties (hotels, cities, cruise lines, etc.).
Hotels were classified as either resort hotel, city hotel, inn, or safari lodge based on their location and amenities, and they were specifically rated on the criteria below:
For each characteristic, respondents could choose a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final scores are averages of these responses.
Despite the continuous growth in hospitality on the island, our readers remained loyal to four of last year’s winners. However, La Concha Renaissance Resort made its way into the top five this year. This trendy yet sophisticated property ranked at No. 5 for its stunning ocean views and prime location in San Juan. Readers highlighted its "beautiful ocean views,” and another appreciated its "walkability” and proximity to restaurants and bars.
